Book of the Month: Victor and the Lost City

Victor and the Lost City, the debut novel by David Gwiggner at the age of just 13 years old.

David is a volunteer at RDF. His mother is Meron Gwiggner - a supporter over many years - of the Roger Diamond Foundation (RDF).

The book is a middle-grade adventure following Victor, a school troublemaker sent to Benin, where he uncovers a lost city hidden in the jungle. Once a place of beauty, the city now struggles under the rule of a cruel king, and Victor must decide whether he has the courage to help when it matters most.

David is an exceptionally avid reader who has read hundreds of books. His love of reading inspired his mum to open Hone Books, a secondhand pop-up bookshop made up of books David has already read.

This is a remarkable milestone and a powerful reminder of what young people can achieve when nurtured and supported.

David's book is available to purchase on Amazon.
