Estifanos Taddese is a parent of two boys who used to regularly attend supplementary Saturday classes. Whilst an RDF volunteer and trustee, he expounded on the various types of youth anti-social behaviour in our community and the typical causes.

His extensive insight and knowledge provided RDF, in our formative years, with important new information about the needs of young people growing up in our communities - drawing on unique contexts and perspectives often not available from mainstream media such as TV, newspapers or social-media.

Estifanos was self-taught and extremely knowledgeable in African culture, African history, philosophy and world-wide politics. He had indeed, from an early age, travelled many parts of the globe and experienced many extraordinary experiences and adventures.

Estifanos assisted our research in many ways, including providing first-hand knowledge of the many challenges of parenting often experienced in disadvantaged areas of the UK.
