Hone Books Galore was set up by charity book shop manager (& RDF Trustee) Meron Gwiggner. This special pop-up book shop was inspired by her own children's love of reading. Her sons read well over a thousand books each during the COVID lockdowns - whilst still attending primary school. They continued to read dozens of new books each month - typically purchasing the books with their own pocket money.
Eventually, one of Meron's sons (David) wrote his own novel 'Victor and the Lost City'. In March 2026 it was published and made available for purchase on Amazon. Visit our Book Promotions page to find out more. You can purchase the book via Meron so that ten percent of the price is donated to RDF.
